Rumours are circulating once again that Girls Aloud will be calling it quits once they’ve completed their upcoming reunion tour.
The Sun’s Gordon Smart claims that Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh made a secret pact last year to bow out following the tour. At the press conference to announce their tenth anniversary celebrations the group dodged questions about the future despite Cheryl stating in her book that the end of Girls Aloud was nigh.
The tabloid quotes a source as saying ‘They all felt it wasnāt right for them to be singing songs like Love Machine and performing the same way when theyāre in their thirties.’
Girls Aloud are expected to announce the news once their tour is underway with The Sun claiming they will add more dates to the tour as they believe demand will increase when fans find out its the last time they will see them performing together.
The arena tour will give each of the girls Ā£1 million.
We’ll be very surprised if we never see Girls Aloud as a five-piece again in the future. If it happened for the Spice Girls then there’s no reason the girls can’t tour occasionally in the future. Obviously we’d prefer a new album but let’s see if The Sun is right.
