Festival no.6: This is the Kit profile

Only a few weeks from now, Festival no.6 will open its doors to festival-goers. The award-winning festival has promised this would be it’s best year yet. This year’s line-up includes headliners Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Hot Chip, Bastille and Super Furry Animals.

Set in an idylic port village, which once was the film set of cult TV show The Prisoner, Festival no.6 is all about enjoying the finer things in life and with boutique festivals becoming more and more the norm, this one seems to tick all the boxes in terms of food, setting and music.

This year This Is The Kit will be playing and if you are at the festival you should catch this fabulous band, who will melt your heart with soothing folk music.

This Is The Kit is the brain child of Kate Stables who is a singer song writer based in both Bristol and Paris. Having seen the band perform live at various festivals we can confidently say that there aren’t as many captivating artists doing what This is The Kit does. The music is hypnotising, Stables vocals are mesmerising and the band effortlessly and comfortably delivers whilst playing on stage.

Any fans of folk should definitely try and check out this band as it truly is something special. Something tells me that Festival no.6 will provide the perfect setting for the blend of melancholic folk this band makes.

I interviewed Kate Stables from This is The Kit in 2015. You can watch the interview on EF.

Festival no.6 takes place in Portmeirion in Wales between 1st and 4th September.
