EF’s Underdogs focus’ on up and coming or niche acts on the verge of something big. This week we talk to The Scheme, a pop rock trio based in London. The band have just release their new single Somebody Else’s Perfect and will be touring with Union J in 2017. I asked The Scheme to list their top ten Halloween videos and this is what they came up with.
10. Nirvana – Heart Shaped Box
This video is not so much Halloween themed but it’s certainly creepy as hell especially with the old man on the crucifix and Kurt’s unsettling stare!
9. Backstreet Boys – Everybody
I remember being extremely freaked out by the scene where one of the members are flipping about all over the place! It probably didn’t help that everyone looked like a monster!
8. Blink 182 – Miss You
The vintage look gives the video a very spooky feel and when all the girls in white start appearing and disappearing I’m done!
7. Metallica – Enter Sandman
Pretty horrific! Being chased by any ghoul or creature would certainly not be fun!
6. Lady Gaga – Bad Romance
Now this video is certainly a messed up freaky one! I remember thinking Gaga looking like a creature of the night as she comes out that coffin dressed in satanic outfits and all the madness from the video!!
5. Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun
Another video that isn’t necessarily halloweeny, however it’s extremely trippy and full of very weird scenes! I still remember the lady with fish!! Great song though!!
4. Avenged Sevenfold – A Little Piece of Heaven
Quite an explicit video even though only cartoon, this ones sure to get you in the horror mood of Halloween!!
3. Evanescence – Going Under
Those morphing faces get me even now! Reminds me a lot of Buffy The Vampire Slayer!!
2. Danny Elfman – This is Halloween
The perfect Halloween music video! It seems scarier watching it now!!
1. Michael Jackson – Thriller
Now this has to be the ultimate and most iconic horror themed music video ever!! Michael Jackson turning into a werwolf has to be one of the most horrific memories of my youth!
