Dermot O’Leary Presents The Saturday Sessions 2015 will be released on 15th June 2015.
The new collection features music exclusively recorded for BBC Radio 2 and includes some of Dermot’s personal favourite sessions including Sam Smith, Hozier, Rita Ora, George Ezra, Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, Jessie Ware, Elbow, Catfish and the Bottlemen and more from the past year.
Standouts on the collection include Sam Smith’s sultry serenade of Ella Fitzgerald’s My Funny Valentine and Hozier’s hot and heavy take on Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love. Paloma Faith covers the legendary Van Morrison with her offering on the 1970s romantic ballad Crazy Love. Grammy Award-winners Clean Bandit take to the strings for nineties anthem Show Me Love originally recorded by Robin S. BRIT Award winner Ella Eyre pays homage to British electronic dance duo Basement Jaxx on Good Luck.
The release also features Jessie Ware who glides through Nina Simone’s That’s All I Want For You, whilst X Factor alumni Ella Henderson delivers a strong performance of the platinum selling Hold Back The River by James Bay. Rita Ora channels the queen of Motown, Diana Ross with a medley of You Are Everything / Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.
