Demi Lovato appeared on The Ellen Show earlier today to perform Stone Cold, a song from her latest album Confident.
The soulful track, which is the follow-up to Confident and Cool For the Summer, was written by Lovato with Laleh Pourkarim and Gustaf Thƶrn. A departure from her usual sound, Stone Cold is built around a piano melody and features the strongest vocals we’ve ever heard from Lovato.
The powerful live performance on The Ellen Show saw Lovato hit every single note (and every one inbetween) as she sang her socks off. She looked visibly emotional throughout the song and once she finished the final note we thought she was going to burst into tears.
Stone Cold is one of the highlights from Confident (check out our review of the Confident album) and marks a more mature sound for the former child star.
