Daughtry have released new single Battleships ahead of their London live show in October.
The band will be playing London Roundhouse on Sunday 12th October 2014 in support of their new album Baptized. Battleships was co-written by lead vocalist Chris Daughtry and is a pop-influenced song that is a little different from what we’re used to hearing from the band.
Talking about the song Chris says, “I love the stuff that’s out on the radio. I’ve always been a sucker for pop melodies. I love the Katy Perry stuff, Pink, Imagine Dragons, even Mumford & Sons and the Lumineers, so [my album has] all these aspects of everything I love that’s out there. I wanted to experiment a little bit with those kind of sounds and incorporate it in what we do.”
Earlier this year Daughtry enjoyed a sell-out UK tour playing their hits and selections from Baptized.
