Clean Bandit enlist Louisa Johnson for new single Tears

Clean Bandit released their new single Tears today and it features current X Factor winner Louisa Johnson on vocals.

Available now through Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music, Tears was written by band member Jack Patterson and Roc Nation-signed Sam Romans (Naughty Boy, Alicia Keys). Tears has an epic feel with Louisa’s powerful vocals driving the melody.

Talking about the collaboration Jack said, ā€œTears is an epic trap-2step breakup ballad. I wrote it with Sam Romans at the piano, and over the course of a year, it has transformed from a simple piano tune into a mad beast of changing time signatures and feels. To me, Tears feels like a 1990s vision of a future breakup song. Louisa Johnson delivered the vocal with incredible power and devastating tenderness. Her adlibs are insane! She is so lovely and an absolute joy to work with.ā€

Louisa added, ā€œWhen I was approached to work with the guys from Clean Bandit I was likeā€¦YES! It felt like the perfect next step from the X Factor. I have always been a fan of their music and I think theyā€™re so unique. Itā€™s such a great thing to be a part of this exciting collaboration.ā€

Tears is expected to appear on Clean Bandit’s upcoming second album, which the band is working on in the studio at the moment.
