C2C 2018: Kip Moore profile

Georgia-born singer-songwriter Kip Moore is arguably one of the most popular country music acts in the UK today, after winning over legions of fans when he debuted at C2C in 2015. Following a hugely successful UK tour last autumn, now he’s returning to the C2C stage. He’ll be the third act performing at the O2 on Saturday 10th March, following Luke Combs and Ashley Campbell.

The C2C shows will follow Moore’s current Tall Tales And The Truth tour in the US, where he’s been performing acoustically alongside Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen. Moore has also recently been touring in the States with his solo Plead The Fifth tour, and following C2C will take the tour to Australia with support from Lee Brice.

Moore’s Main Stage performance follows the release of his latest album, Slowheart, in September 2017. Slowheart reached number three on the Billboard charts and Moore has co-written 11 of the album’s 13 tracks, as well as producing the vast majority of the record.

In 2012 Moore released his debut album, Up All Night, eight years after he moved to Nashville. The album was recently certified platinum in the US and Moore co-wrote every song on the record. Second single Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck was Moore’s first US country number one in 2011, selling over two million copies. Moore also had top five hits with two other songs from the album, Hey Pretty Girl and Beer Money.

Moore released his second album, Wild Ones, in 2015 to critical acclaim, which spawned the singles I’m To Blame and Running For You. He’s also co-written songs for artists including Thompson Square and Frankie Ballard.

A Kip Moore live show is a real rollercoaster, packed with emotion and switching between sing-along uptempo songs alongside more introspective ballads. His live performances have won him a loyal and passionate following on this side of the pond and there’s no doubt his performance will be one of the highlights of the weekend.
