Adam Lambert will perform a tribute to George Michael at Project Angel Food’s 27th Annual Angel Awards.
Taking place on 19th August in Los Angeles, California the ceremony will feature a special performance from Lambert. He will perform a selection of Michael’s biggest hits.
The awards will honour Michael by awarding him the Elizabeth Taylor Humanitarian Award for his support of Project Angel Food. Following his death it was revealed that Michael had carried out a substantial amount of charity work without people knowing about it.
In 1993 Michael left a cheque for $25,000 on the doorstep of the charity following an increase in AIDS patients turning to them for help.
This won’t be the first time that Lambert has performed a George Michael classic. Last year he performed Faith as part of ABC’s Greatest Hits show.
