2014 BRIT Award nominations announced

The nominations for the 2014 BRIT Awards have been announced.

Disclosure and Bastille lead the nominations with four each whilst One Direction pick up nominations for British Group and British Single. David Bowie will battle it out for Best British Male Solo Artist against newer artists Jake Bugg, James Blake, John Newman and Tom Odell.

It was also announced that Ellie Goulding has been added to the line-up of performers for the evening. Ellie has picked up nomination for British Female Solo Artist and British Single.
