Kate Tempest interview

Once more EF travelled to the deepest parts of Kent in order to attend the ever so hip In The Woods festival. The festival which is proud to champion fresh acts on the verge of breaking has been the place to view the likes of Ghostpoet, Alt-J and AlunaGeorge  in an intimate capacity. This year the sun was on the bill and more exciting acts such as Jack Garratt, Glass Animals and Marika Hackman.

Also on the bill was poet and performer Kate Tempest, whom everyone was talking about at the festival even before her performance. With her live shows preceding her we couldn’t wait to catch Tempest support her new album Everybody Down.

Kate Tempest comes hailing from South London is no stranger to praise with her work as a poet already earning her Ted Hughes Award for her work on Band New Ancients. Tempest is now back with a brand new album and fresh sound we decided to chat the rising star who has also recently been nominated for a Mercury prize.
