Top 5 shows you can’t miss during Country Music Week

The first annual Country Music Week arrives in London from 2nd to 8th October and there’s SO much going on, it’s a little bit overwhelming.

With shows and tickets announced in waves, fans snapped up the first bunch of shows only to discover there were more, and conflicting, shows being announced as the week’s went by. It’s simply impossible for any one person to see every single show during Country Music Week so what should you go and see?

We’ve put together our Top 5 shows that you simply can’t afford to miss. Keep reading to find out what we think will be the highlights of the week…

5. Saturday Daytime Hub (Saturday 7th October at The Borderline)

Jillian Jacqueline, Temecula Road, Levi Hummon and The Adelaides are some of the artists already announced for the Saturday Daytime Hub which takes place from midday to 5pm. There’ll be meet and greets, giveaways, interviews and performances throughout the day. It’ll be a great chance to see some real emerging Country music talent with Jillian Jacqueline and Temecula Road as the day’s highlights.

4. Lindsay Ell (Wednesday 4th October at The Borderline)

The buzz around Lindsay Ell is almost deafening and she’s worth every bit of it. The musician recently released her debut album The Project to widespread critical acclaim. This will be a rare chance to see her in a very intimate venue before she hits the big time and starts touring in bigger venues. She’ll be supported by UK artists Clara Bond and Holloway Road.

3. Little Big Town (Thursday 5th October at Royal Albert Hall)

No Country music event is complete without the incredible Little Big Town. A favourite at C2C: Country to Country and rumoured to be returning again in 2018, Little Big Town will be playing songs from their latest album The Breaker along with favourites from their extensive hits-packed catalogue. Seth Ennis is in tow to open the show.

2. Drake White & the Big Fire (Saturday 7th October at The Borderline)

Fans of Drake White will get two chances to see him during Country Music Week. One of the highlights of C2C: Country to Country 2017, White is playing a gig at The Borderline with Jillian Jacqueline supporting. To see White in such a small venue is going to be incredible and you know he’s going to deliver those big soulful vocals that have made him a big star.

1. Kip Moore and Drake White & the Big Fire (Friday 6th October at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire)

What’s better than seeing Drake White & The Big Fire? Seeing them on the same bill as the fantastic Kip Moore. Moore is headlining the show and we can’t wait to hear songs from Slowheart live! A favourite on the Country live circuit here in the UK, Moore has a huge fanbase and always makes time to visit and play a ton of shows. With an opening slot from White, this will be THE gig of Country Music Week.

Honourable mention – C2C 2018 Launch Party (Friday 6th October at Bush Hall)

[brid video=”167453″ player=”531″ title=”Levi Hummon “Don’ Waste The Night” (Acoustic)”]

Rather frustratingly, it was deemed a good idea to put the C2C 2018 Launch Party on the same night as the most popular gig of the week – Kip Moore and Drake White & The Big Fire. We’ve no idea why this decision was made but there’s nothing we can do about it. If you didn’t get tickets for Kip and Drake, then head to Bush Hall to see Logan Brill, Temecula Road, Levi Hummon and Walker McGuire at the C2C 2018 launch with Bob Harris.
