Morgan Wallen to make his Grand Ole Opry debut this week

Morgan Wallen, who is signed to Big Loud Records, will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday 7th July 2017.

Taking the next step in his path to Country music stardom, Wallen will join the ranks of legendary Opry performers such as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Garth Brooks. The performance rides of the recent success of Wallen’s single The Way I Talk, which has risen into the Top 35 on the airplay charts.

ā€œSo many legends, heroes, and pioneers of Country music have paved the way for guys like me to make my debut,ā€ shares Wallen. ā€œTo even be recognized in the same sentence as artists from Hank Williams to Roy Acuff and Alan Jackson to Garth Brooks ā€“ plus so many more, is a huge honor for me. I never would have imagined this in my wildest dreams growing up. Hopefully this is my first of many trips to the Opry stage!ā€

The Way I Talk is the first teaser from Wallen’s EP of the same name, which is produced by Joey Moi. It was written by Jessi Alexander, Ben Hayslip, and Chase McGill. The track has already been streamed over 10 million times on Spotify.

Wallen also co-wrote A Thousand Horses’ new single Preachin’ to the Choir, establishing himself as a songwriter. He is currently opening up selected dates on Florida Georgia Line’s The Smooth Tour 2017 alongside Nelly and Chris Lane.
