LANCO receive a standing ovation at their Opry debut

Rising Country band LANCO made their debut at the Grand Ole Opry last week during the ninth annual Opry Goes Pink event.

The five-piece received a standing ovation following a performance that consisted of Trouble Maker, a medley of Alabama’s Dixieland Delight and SOng of the South, and their Top 10 hit Greatest Love Story. LANCO was surprised during the evening with the news that Greatest Love Story had been certified GOLD by the RIAA.

ā€œIt was an honour to make our Grand Ole Opry debut during such a special night and take the stage that is the original home to the entire country music genre,ā€ said lead singer Brandon Lancaster. ā€œSince I was six-years-old I remember sitting in those pews and seeing acts like Alabama so to have our families out there watching us was a full circle moment.ā€

LANCO had another reason to celebrate after Lancaster became the first Country artist/writer in a decade to top the charts as the sole songwriter.

Since it’s release, LANCO’s self-titled EP has enjoyed more than 60 million streams. The band recently completed the recording for their debut album with producer Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town).

In November the band will hit the road as direct support for Dustin Lynch.
