Garth Brooks announces November release for new album Gunslinger

Garth Brooks is continuing to tease his new music by confirming that his 11th studio album Gunslinger will be released on 25th November 2016.

The announcement comes as Garth revealed the cover and title during his weekly Inside Studio G Facebook series. The title is inspired by quarterbacks who make fast and fearless moves and it first appeared during this weekend’s SEC Game of the Week on CBS, where his song Pure Adrenaline serves as the theme.

“The album title came to me when somebody asked me what my favorite thing about being on the road was,” said Brooks. “I said ‘It just feels good to be out there being a Gunslinger again. Just aiming with the heart and shooting from the hip, that’s what you do on the stage, right? And, lucky enough, you’ve got the ammo of ‘Friends In Low Places,’ ‘Callin’ Baton Rouge,’ ‘Shameless’ and you do. Youā€™re a gunslinger out there. And each showā€™s different and you just shoot from the hip all night long.’ As soon I said it, I knew that was the album title right there.”

Last week Garth announced that the album’s first single would be Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance, which has debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard Country Songs chart. It’s the most added song at Country radio this week.

Garth also recently announced the release of Christmas Together, his first collaborative album with his wife Trisha Yearwood.
