Chase Rice debuts Three Chords & the Truth music video

Chase Rice has released the music video for his new single Three Chords & The Truth.

Directed by Brian Lazzaro, the video was shot around Riceā€™s current coast-to-coast Lambs and Lions Tour. It features footage from the road, Rice’s tour bus and on stage.

The video also captures Rice teaching 8-year-old Nicholas Thompson how to play guitar. Thompson is struggling to fight haemophilia and he finds comfort in a pair of mint green headphones and a Country music playlist that includes Rice.

How music can change lives is a key theme in the video and it holds a personal meaning to Rice, who was bought a $150 guitar by his family when he was a kid.

ā€œThat cheap $150 guitar changed my life,ā€ he shares. ā€œThere are people who love music and canā€™t afford a guitar. Music is everything for me. I canā€™t think of a better gift to give to someone else.ā€

Three Chords & The Truth name-checks legends including Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, Merle Haggard, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

ā€œI thought, we could do the same old crap that everybodyā€™s doing, that Iā€™ve done before, with this music video or we could do something bigger and more special and hopefully change a kidā€™s life and his familyā€™s life, and thatā€™s the route I wanted to go,ā€ explains Rice.

Rice releases his new album Lambs & Lions on 17th November 2017. The Lambs & Lions Tour is on sale now with dates announced through 10th February 2018.
