Black Deer festival announces Iron & Wine and Passenger as first headliners

Black Deer, a new Americana and Country festival taking place from 22nd to 24th June at Eridge Park in Kent, has announced the first details of its line-up.

Iron & Wine and Passenger have been revealed as the festival’s first headliners and Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit will be appearing in a UK festival exclusive. The line-up for the festival also includes UK chart-topping duo Ward Thomas, blues sensation Eric Bibb, John Moreland, CC Smugglers, The Americans, Juanita Stein, William the Conqueror and Darren Eedens and the Slim Pickinsā€™.

Ward Thomas said, ā€œWe are really excited to play at The Black Deer Festival this June, it is so encouraging to see more country festivals pop up in the UK, and we have a feeling this is going to be a special one!!! We’ve recently been working on new material which makes it even more exciting”

Alongside the music, Black Deer will offer classic food and drink, taking revellers deep into the Americana spirit. Grillstock’s Jon Finch and Ben Merrington will be heading up the delights on offer throughout the weekend.

Attendees will also experience Bolt Motorcycles London who will be curating an area of the festival. There will also be a range of Americana-inspired experiences, from whiskey tasting and wood-chopping, to leather-craft and denim-customising as well as exhilarating outdoor adventures, cinema and ukulele lessons.
