Lethal Weapon 1×15 As Good As It Getz preview

On the latest episode of Lethal Weapon, Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) dealt with a man stalking Dr. Cahill (Jordana Brewster).

The episode opened up with a guy racing along on his motorbike. After overtaking a pickup truck he stopped on the edge of a cliff. He turned around and the truck came speeding at him and knocked him over the edge to his death.

In the Murtaugh household, Roger and Trish (Keesha Sharp) had the house to themselves for the evening. However their time together was ruined when they realised that Riana had told them she was staying with different friends.

They stayed up to catch her coming home and she was annoyed at being found out. Later, Trish couldn’t resist snooping around her room and discovered a fake ID. Trish and Roger confronted Riana about it and she explained she got a job working as a DJ but needed the ID to get in the clubs. They later went to see one of her gigs.

At the precinct, Riggs was boring Dr. Cahill talking about food. He noticed some flowers on her desk and realised she was in a relationship that he didn’t know about. While leaving the session he noticed that she had a file for Murtaugh and became obsessed with finding out why.

Riggs and Murtaugh were called to the scene of the motorbike accident. There they met Bailey (Michelle Mitchenor) and Officer Montero, her new assistant. They found a helmet cam on the dead biker which had recorded the incident. On the footage they were able to obtain the license plate of the pickup truck.

They called at the home of the biker and there they were surprised to find Dr. Cahill answering the door. It turned out that the biker was her boyfriend. They traced the address of the owner of the license plate and it led them to a house. Inside Riggs found a camera setup on a tripod with a huge zoom lens. He looked through the view finder and found it was trained on the house of Dr. Cahill. It appeared that she had a stalker and had been the target all along.

A different psychiatrist was brought in to check out Cahill’s files. The aim was to try and identify suspects from her clients. One was identified but Cahill refused to believe that person would stalk her, despite his regular death threats. Riggs and Murtaugh paid him a visit and a hilarious fight broke out. They brought him in but Cahill proved he wasn’t responsible.

Riggs drove Cahill home and noticed someone was in her house. Inside he found her ex-husband, Brad, snooping around. He explained that he was just concerned about her.

While keeping an eye on Cahill, Roger explained to Riggs that he saw Cahill after an incident when he was partnered with Avery. It involved him freezing up and failing to shoot a suspect. The incident had affected his home life and Cahill helped him through it.

Later, Cahill set up a date with Riggs to try and draw the stalker out. They became convinced it was the psychiatrist they brought in but it turned out to be Officer Montero. He pulled a gun on Cahill and Riggs but was taken out from distance by Murtaugh with a sniper rifle.

At the end of the episode, Cahill told Riggs she would no longer be able to have sessions with him. She later found him threatening to jump out of her office window unless she changed her mind. She agreed and Riggs got his way.
