Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) burgeoning relationship with Riggs (Martin Henderson) was thrown a major curveball on the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy.
The return of Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer) put their romance on hold and the arrival of Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) to support Owen (Kevin McKidd) made things even more complicated. Teddy warned Meredith to step away from the situation, causing Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) to clash with her.

Meanwhile Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) picked up a woman in a bar only to discover it’s DeLuca’s (Giacomo Gianniotti) sister when he caught them getting hot and heavy on the sofa.
The next episode of the season is Get Off on the Pain. Meredith struggles to come up with a new plan for Owen’s sister, and Andrew’s sister’s controversial research yields a shocking discovery.
