Gods and Monsters is opening at the Southwark Playhouse for a five-week season from February 5th until Saturday 7th March 2015.
The show is a new production produced by Danielle Tarento and directed by Russell Labey, who has adapted it from the novel Father of Frankenstein by Christopher Bram. The same novel was the source material for the 1998 movie Gods and Monsters starring Ian McKellen and Brendan Fraser.
One reason you’ll definitely want to book your tickets for the show is to see rising actor Will Austin who plays gardener Clayton Boone, who becomes the object of Frankenstein director James Whale’s (Ian Gelder) obsession in the show.
A series of images of Will showing off his buff physique have been released and we can see why he may be the object of someone’s obsession. With his rippling muscles he’s practically ready to burst out of his jeans.
Will has just finished filming Mission Impossible 5 with Tom Cruise. He was also in 24: Die Another Day alongside Kiefer Sutherland and Danny Boyle’s Babylon. Gods and Monsters marks his professional London stage debut.
