Game of Thrones season 7 teaser trailer released

After confirming the release date for Game of Thrones season seven last month, HBO have released a new 92-second teaser trailer to keep us excited.

At this time of year we’re normally already watching the new Game of Thrones season but this year things are different. Game of Thrones season seven will air in July due to needing to film at different times of the year.

We’ve known ‘Winter is Coming’ for the past six years but now it looks like it’s finally here.

The teaser is set against a slow version of ‘Sit Down’ by James. It shows Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Each character are making their way to their throne rooms where they stop and sit at the end of the teaser.

It appears that Jon is in Winterfell, Cersei is in King’s Landing and Dany is in a new location for the show. Our best guess is that Dany is in Dragonstone.

The teaser ends with a shot of Cersei as she exhales and her icy breath is visible. The shot moves backwards and turns black before revealing what looks to be the eye of the Night’s King. We presume that mean he’s watching and trying to bring his undead army to King’s Landing.

At the end of season 6 we listed the 10 things we want from Game of Thrones season 7.

Game of Thrones season 7 begins on Sunday, July 16th 2017 at 9pm ET on HBO in the US and simultaneously at 2am on Monday, July 17th 2017 on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
