Game of Thrones 7×04 The Spoils of War preview

Game of Thrones season 7 continued with the third episode The Queen’s Justice. It was another packed episode where Cersei (Lena Headey) and Dany (Emilia Clarke) continued to set their armies against each other.

If you’re not up to date on the Game of Thrones TV show and like to avoid spoilers we suggest you don’t read any further. Below is information we’ve taken from the episode 4 preview trailer as well as plenty of speculation about what we think might happen.

The fourth episode is written by showrunners David Benioff & D. B. Weiss with Matt Shakman in the director’s chair for the first time this season. The episode is titled The Spoils of War. The official synopsis is yet to be revealed.

The trailer opens up at King’s Landing in Cersei’s Westeros map room. She walks in with Iron Banker Tycho Nestoris (Mark Gatiss) and tells him that her only venture is to reestablish control over the continent and ever person on it. He looks impressed.

On the beach of Dragonstone it looks like Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is preparing to leave. Dany is heard to say that all her allies are gone, referring to Tyrell and Greyjoy, and that she is losing.

Tycho Nestoris tells Cersei that she can count on the Iron Bank, as soon as the gold arrives. Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is seen to be checking out a huge stash of gold.

The final montage show Dany saying enough with the clever plans. Jaime is riding out somewhere with the Lannister army. Podrick (Daniel Portman) and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) look to be fighting in Winterfell. There are also shots of Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen) and Sansa (Sophie Turner).

It looks like Arya (Maisie Williams) will arrive back at Winterfell. Theon (Alfie Allen) is shown helping pull a small boat ashore, will he try and rescue Yara? Jon and Dany appear to be walking through a dark tunnel. Could they be visiting the Dragonglass mining operation or the dragons?

The final shot looks to be Drogon swooping down with Dany riding him. Will she attack Euron’s fleet as she suggested or something else? Maybe she’ll just give Jon a ride home?

Check back during the week as we’ll update this preview with new information as it’s released. You can also get a sneak peek at the episode with the first-look photos. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Game of Thrones season 7 continues at 2am (simulcast with the US) and 9pm Mondays on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
