Game of Thrones 7×03 The Queen’s Justice preview

Game of Thrones season 7 continued with the second episode Stormborn. It was a packed episode that moved things along at a blistering pace and set events in motion for the rest of the season.

If you’re not up to date on the Game of Thrones TV show and like to avoid spoilers we suggest you don’t read any further. Below is information we’ve taken from the episode 2 preview trailer as well as plenty of speculation about what we think might happen.

The third episode is written by showrunners David Benioff & D. B. Weiss with Mark Mylod in the director’s chair for the second time this season. The episode is titled The Queen’s Justice, here’s the synopsis for the episode:

Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) holds court. Cersei (Lena Headey) returns a gift. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) learns from his mistakes.

The trailer opens up at Dragonstone where Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is stood overlooking the sea as her dragons fly above. She is heard to say ‘I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms. And I will’.

Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk) is seen riding on horseback with crowds cheering him. We presume he’s celebrating his victory and has brought Cersei (Lena Headey) a gift. Could the gift be Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma) and Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan)?

Cersei is seen to say ‘The war’s already begun. I’ve drawn first blood’.

At Dragonstone it looks like someone has arrived by boat. Could it be Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham)?

Tyrion (Peter Dinklange) is seen to say ‘Cersei will be ready.’ While Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) says ‘They know we’re coming’.

A montage then shows snippets of Dany, Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Euron and Sansa (Sophie Turner).

Grey Worm appears to be heading out with the Unsullied to attack Casterly Rock. Jaime is presumably in charge of the defense. Euron looks to be back in front of Cersei and Sansa is walking near a weirwood tree. The montage ends showing clashes between the Unsullied and the Lannisters.

The final shots show Tyrion and Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) walking Jon Snow and Ser Davos in to meet Dany! Will they form an alliance? Could a new wedding be on the cards?

Check back during the week as we’ll update this preview with new information as it’s released. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Game of Thrones season 7 continues at 2am (simulcast with the US) and 9pm Mondays on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
