Game of Thrones 7×01 Dragonstone first-look photos

Winter is finally here as Game of Thrones returns for a seventh season tomorrow. We couldn’t be more excited to return to Westeros and have the official preview images from the season seven premiere below.

If you want to avoid spoilers for season seven then we suggest you stop reading now.

The season seven premiere, titled Dragonstone, is written by showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Jeremy Podeswa, who directed the first two episodes of last season, returns to the director’s chair. The official synopsis reads:

Jon (Kit Harington) organizes the defense of the North. Cersei (Lena Headey) tries to even the odds. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) comes home.

Check out a selection of official images from 7×01 Dragonstone in our gallery:

The images show that the premiere will finally show Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) arriving in Westeros and setting up in Dragonstone.

Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick) will arrive at the Wall with Bran Stark (Ellie Kendrick).

Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) looks to be having a giant map of Westeros painted on a tiled floor in King’s Landing. Presumably this is for planning military operations?

It looks like we’ll also be spending time with the fantastic Lyanna Mormont (Bella Ramsey) as well as visiting Winterfell where Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman) appear to be training or fighting.

To see more images check out our Game of Thrones 7×01 Dragonstone preview. We’ll have a recap of the premiere for you after the episode has aired as well as a preview of episode two.
