Game of Thrones 6×07 The Broken Man preview

Game of Thrones season 6 continued with its sixth episode, Blood of My Blood (read our recap).

If you’re not up to date on the Game of Thrones TV show and like to avoid spoilers (you have been warned) we suggest you don’t read any further. Below is information we’ve taken from the episode 7 preview trailer as well as speculation about what we think might happen.

The seventh episode is written by Bryan Cogman with Mark Mylod in the director’s chair for the first time this season. The episode is titled The Broken Man. The synopsis for the episode is:

The High Sparrow eyes another target. Jaime confronts a hero. Arya makes a plan. The North is reminded.

The trailer opens up with Jaime Lannister arriving at Riverrun. There he’s met by Brynden ‘the Blackfish’ Tully (Clive Russell) who is heard to say ‘As long as I’m standing, the war is not over’. Will there be a battle?

Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg) is seen talking to Cersei (Lena Headey) where she says ‘Our two ancient houses face collapse because of your stupidity’. The Mountain is stood ominously behind Cersei, we know he doesn’t like her being insulted, could Olenna be meeting a sticky end?

Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) is seen stood with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham). It’s unclear where she is but behind her on the wall are House Lannister sigils. They are drumming up support to take back the North. Sansa is heard to say ‘I did what I had to do to survive, I will always be a Stark’.

Next up is Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) telling her brother Theon (Alfie Allen) that they will take back the Iron Islands and get their revenge.

Jon Snow and Ser Davos are seen stood in the middle of the Wildlings. Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) is there too and heard to say ‘He died for us. If we’re not willing to do the same for him, we’re cowards’. Surely they will agree to go and fight the Ramsay with Jon?

There’s a quick snippet of Edmure Tully (Tobias Menzies) with a knife to his throat. Also Bronn (Jerome Flynn) is set to return and is seen stood with Jaime.

The trailer ends with Davos saying ‘The real war is between the living and the dead, and make no mistake, the dead are coming’.

Check back during the week as we’ll update this preview with new information as it’s released. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Game of Thrones season 6 continues at 2am (simulcast with the US) and 9pm Mondays on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
