Trailer round-up: Fantastic Four, Ted 2 & more

The past week has seen a variety of new trailers debut online and in a new feature we’re rounding them all up for you in one place.

Just in case you missed the trailers the first time round, we’ve pulled together all of the notable trailer releases of the past week. Amongst them is the reboot of the Fantastic Four, comedy sequel Ted 2 and Jason Statham’s latest outing Wild Card.

Child 44

Stars: Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace, Charles Dance, Vincent Cassel, Paddy Considine

Synopsis: Child 44 stars Tom Hardy as secret police agent Leo Demidov in a gripping thriller set in a Soviet Russia ruled by paranoia and fear. When he uncovers evidence of a serial killer, Leo must work against the all-powerful Soviet government – who deny the existence of any crime in their twisted idea of ‘paradise’ – to track him down before he strikes again. But how do you find a killer when crime does not exist?

Fantastic Four

Stars: Kate Mara, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell

Synopsis: Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Ted 2

Stars: Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane, Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, John Slattery

Synopsis: Newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he’s a person in a court of law.

The Voices

Stars: Ryan Reynolds, Anna Kendrick, Gemma Arterton, Jacki Weaver

Synopsis: Jerry (Ryan Reynolds) is an affable singleton who works on the factory floor at a bathtub factory, ever eager to get along with his co-workers, especially Fiona (Gemma Arterton) and Lisa (Anna Kendrick) from accounts. After work Jerry goes home to his pet cat, Mr. Whiskers, and loyal dog Bosco, where the three of them hang out, watch TV and discuss the day’s events. When one night he accidentally kills Fiona, Jerry hastily covers his tracks, under the strict advice of the subversive Mr. Whiskers. But Jerry is already beyond the reach of his well-meaning psychiatrist Dr. Warren (Jacki Weaver) and things are also looking bad for Lisa, who has taken a shine to Jerry. Despite Bosco trying to keep Jerry on the straight and narrow, Mr. Whiskers seems to be the loudest voice in Jerry’s head and soon events have spiraled and salvation is all Jerry can hope for.

Wild Card

Stars: Jason Statham, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Angarano, Anne Heche, Jason Alexander, Sofia Vergara, Stanley Tucci.

Synopsis: Nick Wild (Jason Statham) is a Las Vegas bodyguard with lethal professional skills and a personal gambling problem. When a friend is beaten by a sadistic thug, Nick strikes back, only to find out the thug is the son of a powerful mob boss. Suddenly Nick is plunged into the criminal underworld, chased by enforcers and wanted by the mob. Having raised the stakes, Nick has one last play to change his fortunes…and this time, it’s all or nothing.
