New featurette hops along for Peter Rabbit starring James Corden & Rose Byrne

A brand new featurette has arrived for Peter Rabbit, the big screen version of the beloved character.

The mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude.

In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson – About Time) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne –Bad Neighbours 2).

James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm, with Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad), Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), and Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) performing the voice roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.

Directed by Will Gluck from a screen story and screenplay by Rob Lieber and Will Gluck, based on the characters from the original Tales of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, the film is produced by Will Gluck and Zareh Nalbandian, with Doug Belgrad, Jodi Hildebrand, and Jason Lust serving as executive producers.

Commenting on the film, James Corden said, “Every British child falls in love with Peter Rabbit sooner or later. I hope that a new generation will see this film and rediscover the incredible books and storytelling of Beatrix Potter and fall in love with the character as I did. That’s why I wanted to be part of this film.”

Will Gluck added, “In making this film, we’ve always felt as humble custodians entrusted with Peter’s legacy. My parents introduced Peter to me, and I in turn introduced him to my own children – and it’s my great honor to be directing a film that will bring him to cinemas everywhere.”

Francesca Dow, Managing Director Penguin Random House Children’s UK, added, “It has been a pleasure to work with Will Gluck, Zareh Nalbandian, and the team at Columbia Pictures. Generations of readers have loved Peter Rabbit and we are excited that a whole new audience will be able to engage with the delightful world and wonderful characters that Beatrix Potter has created.”

John Moffat, General Manager for the National Trust’s Beatrix Potter places said: “Beatrix Potter left the National Trust a large legacy and caring for her home, Hill Top, many original artworks and farms and land are a huge part of our role as a conservation charity in the Lake District. She was an amazing woman and we’re keen to share her work and tales with families everywhere. We’re all very excited about the movie, and hope that the film will bring new audiences into contact with Beatrix and inspire them to make a visit to the places in the Lakes that inspired her to write her classic tales.”

The film is set open across the UK on 16th March 2018, just in time for Easter.
