A brand new prequel short-movie has been revealed prior to the cinema release of Blade Runner 2049.
The short film, titled Blade Runner 2036: Nexus Dawn is directed by Dennis Villeneuve and stars Jared Leto’s character from the upcoming 2049.
The official synopsis reads;
‘Welcome to 2036. Niander Wallace introduces his new line of replicants’.
Blade Runner 2049 lands in cinemas on 6th October.
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos.
K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
The film also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks.
