Get Out, Stranger Things & Beauty & The Beast top MTV Movie & TV Award nominations

MTV has revealed the nominations for the first-ever MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Horror film Get Out leads this year’s nominees with six nominations. Stranger Things and Beauty and the Beast follow it with four nominations each. Atlanta, Game of Thrones, Hidden Figures, Logan, Moonlight and This Is Us score three nods each.

The ceremony will be presented by Adam DeVine (Modern Family) and takes place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California and will air in the UK on Monday 8th May at 8pm.

“MTV is about celebrating youth culture and fueling our audienceā€™s passion points,ā€ said Chris McCarthy, President of MTV, VH1 and Logo. ā€œWe are thrilled to have Adam Devine as our master of ceremonies for the new MTV Movie and TV Awards where we honor the best stories, actors and characters our audience loves.”
