From genre guru Eli Roth comes a post-modern celebration of the notoriously lurid and savage Italian cannibal genre as popularised by director Ruggero Deodato, his Hostel 2 star. So when blind, cranky war veteran Ambrose McKinley (the superb Nick Damici) moves in, the residents are put off by his abrasive personality, But it’s his grizzled take-no-prisoners attitude that’s needed to survive the sinister secret the secluded tight-knit neighbourhood is harbouring.

Sole survivor Martin crashes his getaway car in the mountains after fighting SS officer Herzog for control of the vehicle. Waking up in hospital Martin discovers he’s blamed by police for all his friends’ murders and he’s had Herzog’s severed arm attached to his shoulder by mistake and he now has the zombie creating power. But after dismissing Miriam’s superstitions, rebellious Kylie too starts hearing unsettling whispers in the dark, creaking floorboards and strange bumps in the night. Find out in this Kiwi comedy chiller sporting a great sense of humour, a very creepy atmosphere and a good deal of splatter mayhem.

Soon David starts to have nightmarish visions of an evil presence he believes inhabits his home. And in his drive to unveil the shadows hidden in the walls, David begins to descend into madness. This Irish ghost story is dark, disturbing and scary and the midnight hit at Tribeca.

Wolfcop (UK Premiere)

There’s a new lycanthropic hero in town and he’s determined to become a better policeman…one full moon transformation at a time. Destined for midnight movie cult status, this high-end blend of black comedy, sexy horror and practical special effects was so successful sales-wise at this year’s Cannes market a sequel had already been green-lit.  Lou Garou is a lazy small-town cop by day, a violent rage-fuelled crime-fighting werewolf by night. Good cop and bad cop in one fur-filled beastly package, and addicted to women and booze.
