Ozzy Osbourne confirmed for Download 2018

The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne has been revealed as one of Download festival 2018’s headliners.

Ozzy Osbourne, who is no stranger to the grounds of Donington Park, has been revealed as the festival’s Sunday night headliner. Having previously graced the main stage in previous years fronting Black Sabbath, this will be the first time, the Prince of Darkness perform as a solo act. The Download Festival set comes as part of Ozzy Osbourne’s final world tour.

Download Festival’s promoter, Andy Copping commented: ‘We’re unbelievably excited to have Ozzy as one of the headliners next year. Already hailing from the midlands, Ozzy Osbourne is no stranger to Download, and after Black Sabbath closed the Saturday night of the festival in 2016, how could I not ask The Prince of Darkness to come back all on his own? The Download family are without a shadow of a doubt, in for a treat.’

Download Festival is the home of rock music and takes place on the sacred grounds of Donington Park, which have been associated with rock since the festival’s inception. The festival attracts icons of rock and metal to its main stage every year and is also a place where hot new acts play.

Tickets for the festival are available via Download’s website.

In 2017, the line-up included performances by headliners such as System of a Down, Biffy Clyro and Aerosmith but also the likes of Prophets of Rage, Five Finger Death Punch, AFI, Of Mice & Men, Fozzy, Rob Zombie, Sleeping With Sirens, Simple Plan, Every Time I Die, The Story So Far, Slayer, Motionless In White amongst others.

AC/DC, KISS, Metallica, Black Sabbath, The Prodigy, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Linkin Park and many more have all headlined Download and in 2018, fans can see the Miracle Man, Ozzy Osbourne.

Download festival 2018 will take place in Leicestershire between 8th to 10th June.
