Yootha Joyce was an actor best known for her role as Mildred Roper in the 1970s classic British sitcoms Man About the House and George and Mildred. When Yootha died young in 1980, she left behind an enigma, but her performances continue to enthral audiences and new generations to this day.
Recently author Paul Curran, a lifelong admirer of Yootha Joyce, unpicked some of the mysteries behind the star, and has released a biography entitled Dear Yootha… The Life of Yootha Joyce. Check out our review of the book.
