Win Toast of London Series 2 on DVD

Toast of London is back! Nominated for no less than six accolades at this year’s British Comedy Awards, and the toast of the critics, Toast of London Series 2 is released on DVD on 15th December 2014.

A fantastic cast of famous faces star in Matt Berry and Arthur Mathews’ Channel 4 comedy series. Alongside Doon Mackichan, Robert Bathurst, and Harry Peacock, the series sees appearances from Peter Davison, Amanda Donohoe, Tim Downie, Matthew Holness, Louise Jameson, Trevor Laird, Shazad Latif, Adrian Lukis, Terry Mynott, John Nettles, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Steve Pemberton, Morgana Robinson, and Queens of the Stoneage front-man Joshua Homme.

Toast of London sees Berry play Steven Toast, a classically-trained actor living in Soho, the heart of London’s theatre-land. With the misguided help of his inept agent Jane Plough, played by Doon Mackichan, and his idiosyncratic middle-aged flatmate Ed Howzer-Black (Robert Bathurst), Toast makes desperate attempts to get the woman, job and life he thinks he deserves.

Toast Series 2 on DVD is jam-packed with unmissable laugh out loud extras including, ‘Steven Toast’s Voiceover Showreel’, ‘On the Analyst’s Couch Part II’, where Toast recalls some of his most memorable roles on stage, and ‘My Turn’, Toast’s Autobiography. Series 2 is also available in a box set with Series 1, so you can watch all 12 episodes of the show.

The original pilot episode was first broadcast in August 2012 as part of Channel 4’s Funny Fortnight; a season of comedy which marked the channel’s 30th birthday. Co-written by Arthur Mathews (co-creator of Channel 4’s iconic, Father Ted) and Matt Berry, it garnered rave reviews with Heat Magazine saying it was the “flat out funniest half hour of TV.” It also featured in Radio Times’ Top 40 shows of 2012.

Matt Berry said: “It’s fantastic to have been given the opportunity to develop my pilot into a full blown series and I’ve loved every minute of it! The pilot planted the seeds but now I’ve been able to develop the characters as well as situations that Steven finds himself in – from when he wakes up on a morning to when he goes to the theatre each night to partake in his massively controversial stage play. I really hope Toast of London satisfies and delivers”
