The remains of a man who created artificial intelligence robots were found on the latest episode of Bones.
Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) were led to associates and colleagues of the tech wiz and were pushed out of their comfort zone when they had to interview one of the robots he created in order to find the murderer.
The investigation coincided with Brennan’s 40th birthday and she took charge of organising her own surprise party. Despite asking for no presents, Booth gave her the news that Zack (Eric Millegan) was going to have an appeal hearing.
It was also revealed that Brennan’s party was actually a celebration for Angela (Michaela Conlin), who was awarded the MacArthur genius grant, and Daisy (Carla Gallo), who got a job at the National Forensics Lab. She tricked them by pretending to be annoyed by their achievements, when actually she’d organised them both.
Meanwhile it was hinted at that Max (Ryan O’Neal) was hiding an illness from his family.
The next episode of the season is The New Tricks in the Old Dogs. When the body of an old man is found in an acid dump site, the team becomes enmeshed in retirement home drama.
